Camp Safeguarding Policy

The safety and wellbeing of every young person at School of Skill camp comes before any other consideration.
Safer coaching
- Coaches and staff working directly with children are subject to an enhanced DBS check before working with us.
- Our coaching team completes safeguarding training appropriate to their role.
- Coaches maintain professional boundaries and follow appropriate group ratios.
- Physical contact is limited to what is necessary for demonstrating technique or ensuring safety.
Parents and guardians
Please provide accurate emergency contact, medical and access information when booking. Parents and guardians will receive arrival, collection and event details before camp. Photography and video are only used with parental consent.
Raising a concern
If you have a safeguarding concern about a child involved in camp, email coachmason@schoolofskill.co.uk immediately. If a child is in immediate danger, call the police on 999. For non-emergency concerns, contact your local authority children's services or the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000.
Policy review
This policy is reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect current best practice and statutory guidance.
